Postcard: 10th Anniversary Celebrations Downunder
This year marks the 10th Anniversary of Wild Earth Expeditions.
Our passion drives our desire to shape and lead authentic and intimate journeys into the natural and cultural heart of a destination and give our explorers unrivaled service and life-changing experiences. The last ten years have allowed us to achieve this dream and more. We are so grateful to all our intrepid Wild Earth Explorers for following our lead into wild adventures worldwide.
It seemed fitting that we celebrate our anniversary with an adventure to our homeland Downunder. With a fantastic group of Wild Earth Explorers from all over the world, we celebrated in style and ventured out in search of a true Aussie experience, and we found it!
We experienced it all; a wide variety of wildlife from kangaroos, wallabies, platypus, echidna, tree kangaroos, possums, crocodiles, an incredible variety of birds, and thousands of moths dancing about us in the rainforest. We trekked through magnificent and diverse landscapes, gazed up at ancient trees, listening to the insight from our knowledgeable guides, were welcomed into Country by local Aboriginal mobs and learned about the cultural significance of Place and petroglyphs. We had a few cold ones (beers) at the local pub and met some true-blue Aussie characters. The grande finale was a week on the Great Barrier Reef enjoying astonishing diving and snorkeling on pinnacles and mind-blowing swims with the Minke Whales 'up close and personal'. On one of those magical whale days, our Wild Earth Explorer Catherine spent over 9.5hrs in the water with countless inquisitive and playful whales, which has to be a record ;-)
We can't wait for the next ten years! Thank you for traveling with us and following our adventures.
